Kyoto Cat Cafe - Cafe Wan Nyan Chu Two

One thing that I had been wanting to do while in Japan was go to a cat cafe, and it turns out there is one very close to our home in Otsu! Taking the Keihan line from Hamaotsu to Sanjo station in Kyoto and a quick walk brings you to Cafe犬猫人2 (read as wan nyan chu two). We had originally planned on going to the first cafe, but they were too full. They gave us an easy to understand map on how to get to their second cafe, and it was beautiful!

The place was very clean and had lots of happy cats roaming around. It only cost 1,500 yen for an hour, which includes a drink and snacks.

There was a poster with all of the cats names and breeds on it, and there was a book on one of the shelves with the cats birthdays.

There were lots of high places for the cats to climb. This little cutie's name is Suzu-chan!

There was also a kitten room that you can peak into that you can pay extra to get into at the end of your time.

I had a great time playing with the cats, and I'd recommend anyone in that area of Kyoto to visit!
